Reservations in Sainik Schools

Each Sainik School shall reserve 67% of its seats for boys from the state where it is located. Balance Boys from other States and Union Territories who make up 33% of their male population will be given seats. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are each allocated 15% of the total seats, respectively. Children of Service Members, including Ex-Servicemen, are entitled to 25% of the seats. The positions will be filled by General Category candidates if the necessary SC/ST/DEF candidates are not available.
