3. 2025-26 RIMC Entrance Examination
The Rashtriya Indian Military College conducts its entrance exam twice a year for admission to Class VIII. Candidates who qualify for the written examination will move on to the interview and medical examination stages.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age: Boys and girls are eligible to apply for admission. Candidates must be between 11½ to 13 years old as of July 1, 2025.
- Date of Birth: The candidate should be born between January 2, 2013, and July 1, 2015 (both dates inclusive).
- Education Qualification: The candidate must be studying in Class VII or have passed Class VII from a recognized school.
- Application Note: No changes to the date of birth will be allowed once submitted.
4. Exam Pattern
The RIMC entrance exam consists of three main subjects:
- Mathematics (200 Marks)
- General Knowledge (75 Marks)
- English (125 Marks)
Candidates need to score a minimum of 50% marks in each subject to qualify for the next stage.
Viva Voce (Interview – 50 Marks)
Only students who clear the written exam with a minimum of 50% marks in each subject will be called for the interview. The interview assesses the candidate’s confidence, knowledge, and communication skills.
Medical Examination
Candidates who pass the interview undergo a medical examination at designated military hospitals. Admission is granted only to students who meet the medical fitness standards.
